The Jungle The Jungle by Upton Sinclair is about a Lithuanian family living in Chicago in the 1900’s. They had confidence in the American dream, wanting to begin another and fruitful life. Shockingly they were denied of they expectations and dreams. They were put in a general public where just the most grounded and most extravagant endure. The rich continue getting more extravagant and the poor get considerably less fortunate. Jurgis and his family went to extraordinary lengths just in order to find an occupation, they had to go in substantial downpour, solid breezes, and thick day off, when they were wiped out, in dread of losing their positions. The Jungle called attention to numerous defects in the public eye, for example, unsanitary meat and sickening work conditions.
